week. A motion was made by David to give Joe Bolk-
com $1000 from the PAC fund via Jim Piazza with a
2

The Legislative Committee (Mike S. chair, David, Jeff,
Pat, Brent, Andy, and Tracy) will have a conference
call on Tuesday, December 3

cuss the following:
Does the salvage pool collect sales tax on sales to
the general public?
How many salvage title cars are sold at pools in
Iowa?
Summary/history of the California law (Jessica
from ARA will provide).
Are auction houses retailers or wholesalers and
do they have sales tax permits?
Is there a portion of the code that says salvage
title cars do not pay sales tax?
DOT Meeting update – Jim Piazza reported on a re-
cent conversation with Paul Steier, DOT, in which

fer volunteer board member(s) to participate in the
DOT pilot program.
