Recyclers News Press
To truly get the best environmental audit I can pro-
vide I must ask “How many cars are processed in a
week?” You see the number of vehicles processed
will dictate many aspect of the organization of your
shop like how much fluid storage is required, how
frequently service providers come on-site to recycle
batteries or take away other wastes. I know you’ve
all heard me say it is all about balanced accounting!
The number of cars you process is vital to making
sure your compliance documentation is
accounting
for an accurate amount of waste being sent off-site,
sold, reused or otherwise managed. It also will help
in the organization of the shop flow. A shop full of
storage vessels because you have enough storage
for the accumulation of a year’s waste probably
lacks the space to be comfortable and efficient.
Labeling is also another organization aspect the I-
CARE environmental audit adds to a facility. “right-
sizing” your tanks and labeling them adds organiza-
tion to the work flow and improves the overall look
and feel in the shop. Using the I-CARE program’s
inherit organized processes will step up the profes-
sional level of your shop and instill pride on the
shop floor.
Thanks for listening
