WOW!
What exciting times at the Iowa automotive
Recyclers association it is—
We are busy busy this time of year having just came
from a hugely successful Hill Day event, see the cen-
terfold feature article and jumping right in to the publi-
cation of the Iowa Who’s Who in Salvage Directory
2013. But adding the task of publishing our own
newsletter has certainly kept me hopping during our
many snowy days this winter.
Please get your IAR MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
processed and sent in with your payment. The quality
of the information in the Who’s Who 2013 Directory
depends on the completion of the member renewal
process. If you have not yet sent it back to me—

The new NEWSLETTER—the
Recyclers News
Press
has been so much fun to design and develop
for me that I was surprised by the enthusiasm of the
advertisers. The new format has given us two new
features FULL COLOR on every page (at no extra
cost to advertisers) and a very short “pen to print”
turnaround time that will allow advertisers to place
time sensitive sales and information.
The Summer Outing 2013—Rock ‘n Roll Maquoketa
style with an oldies theme conference and trade show
on May 31—June 1, 2013. Vendor & Sponsor regis-
tration has begun and attendee information will go out
in the mail in a few weeks. So SAVE THE DATE and
get ready to have fun, learn, network and attend the
CRUSH OFF!
Our feature event this year is to try to
bring in crushing equipment for a side-by-side crush-
ing demonstration at Nugent Auto Sales. We will also
offer a full agenda, board meeting with election of Of-
ficers and the Trade Show in the same Friday night
and Saturday format that has been so successful in
the last two years. We are committed to keep the reg-
istration cost down for Attendees and Vendors as our
way of showing appreciation for continued support.
We have lots of room for vendor s booth this year
too—so please invite your new contacts to attend our
show.
The Vendor registration form is on page 26 and also
available online at
or
better yet have them give me a call at 319-233-7970
for more information.
Finally, I see so many beautiful things while I am on
the road traveling to visit member yards to conduct I-
CARE audits that I thought I would add a new feature
call “Why We LOVE Iowa!” when I had something to
share.
It’s going to be a good year!
Thanks for listening
